Get answers to common questions about our tools
Find quick answers to common questions about our file conversion tools. We currently offer client-side processing (files stay on your device) and are working on server-side features for more advanced conversions.
Client-side conversion means your files are processed entirely within your web browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your files never leave your device or get uploaded to any server. This ensures complete privacy and faster processing since there's no waiting for file uploads/downloads.
Yes, absolutely. Since all processing happens locally in your browser, your files never leave your device. We have no access to your files, cannot see them, and cannot store them. This is the most secure way to convert files online.
No, we don't require any registration or account creation. You can use all our tools immediately without providing any personal information.
We support a wide range of file types including images (JPG, PNG, WebP, TIFF, etc.), videos (MP4, MKV, WebM, etc.), and documents. Each tool page specifies which formats it supports for conversion.
Since processing happens in your browser, the limits depend on your device's capabilities. Generally, most modern devices can handle files up to 1GB without issues. Very large files might take longer to process or could cause browser performance issues.
File conversion is computationally intensive work. When processing large files, your browser may use significant system resources which can temporarily slow down other tasks. This is normal and indicates the conversion is happening locally on your device.
No, we don't store your files. We may collect anonymous usage statistics to improve our services (like which tools are used most frequently), but this data is never linked to your identity or file content.
Yes, all our client-side tools are completely free to use. Since we don't have server processing costs for these, we can offer them without charging users.
If a conversion fails, you'll see an error message explaining what went wrong. Common issues include unsupported file formats, corrupted files, or extremely large files that exceed your browser's capabilities. You can simply try again with a different file or adjust the conversion settings.
Yes, our tools work on most modern mobile browsers. However, processing large files on mobile devices may be slower due to less powerful hardware compared to desktop computers.

Client-side conversion offers superior privacy (your files never leave your device), faster processing for small to medium files (no upload/download wait times), and no arbitrary file size limits imposed by server restrictions. The tradeoff is that very large files may be limited by your device's capabilities.
Yes, we're currently developing server-side processing for more complex conversions that require additional computational power. These will include batch processing, advanced video editing, and format conversions that aren't feasible in browsers. Server-side features will be optional and clearly marked as such.
For server-side processing, files will be uploaded to our secure servers. We will implement strict data protection measures including encryption in transit and at rest, automatic file deletion after processing, and no long-term storage. You'll always be informed when a tool uses server-side processing.
We're currently developing our server infrastructure with a focus on security and reliability. We expect to roll out the first server-based tools in the coming months. Follow our blog or newsletter for updates on specific release dates.
